I have a Q3d ThreeUp v2 with marlin 1.0.2 and RAMPS 1.4. Trying to get end-stops to actually work and stop movement as soon as tripped. They presently trip and then movement still happens for several seconds after with motors grinding. X and Y min and max and a Z max installed with Z min as BLTouch. Any suggestions on getting this to actually work? I am also installing the BLTouch at this same time. Printer comes with no end stops by default.
So here’s a comment from an absolute newbie: Check that the max and min are the right way around on the RAMPS board. If you hit the max when moving to the minimum (or home position) the printer will not stop. IIRC, sending M119 will report the end stop state. HTH.
Will check in that closer. Have tried pushing switch and issuing the M119 to too tripped or not. They do activate but maybe not the “correct” direction.
Figured out part of it - X and Y were put in wrong spots on the end stops - Flipped X and Y essentially. Now need to figure out how to get Z with BLTOUCH to actually go to the bottom of board on home.
Well done with X and Y. Can’t help with BLTouch however - good luck.
