I have a question about grounding inside the control box. I have all my grounds going to a terminal block where all the grounds are tied together i.e I have all the 12v, 60v, 5v grounds all tied into a terminal block as well as all grounds from the bob etc firstly is this ok? secondly do I also connect this to the case where I have all the earth wires connected from the 240v supply? I hope this makes sense !!
Generally you should not have a problem. Although there are certain situations where problems can arise. Ground is a simple concept that can get complicated in practical applications. Loops, line noise, and discharges can all be found on the earth ground, depending on local topography, and circumstances. Now whether any of this is the case with you, or an issue is impossible to say.
It mainly depends on the integrity of your electrical system. How grounded is your ground? Ground is an element of the grid that often gets short shrift. Then unfortunate things can happen.
