I have a question about slicers and dimensional accuracy.

I have a question about slicers and dimensional accuracy. When the slicer generates the toolpath, does it put the edge of the nozzle at the edge of the object or does it put the center of the nozzle at the edge of the object?
For example, say you’re trying to print a 10x10 square and using a 1mm nozzle. Would the slicer move the center of the nozzle from 0,0 to 0,10 to 10,10 to 10,0 to 0,0 or would it move the center of the nozzle from 0.5,0.5 to 0.5,9.5 to 9.5,9.5 to 9.5,0.5 to 0.5,0.5?

I would think it’d move the nozzle to 1/2 the ‘path width’. On mine this is 0.48mm so it’d start at 0.24,0.24 then 0.24, 9.74 then 9.74, 9.74 then 9.74, 0.24 before returning to 0.24,0.24

It moves the nozzle to the middle of the path width. Extrusion is calculated on how fat it lays down. It puts the theoretical edge of that bead of filament at 10, not the nozzle to 10.
