@Nick_Charlton
the thing is u have a shapeoko 2 and when i tried maker cam last night i ran the project and the cnc moved a in and that was it
I’ve also used SheetCAM, which expects layered DXF files. I used Rhino as my CAD program, but it should work with AutoCAD as well.
@Jose_Chambrot So I am thinking about getting cut2d but am wanting to know if it will absolutely work with my shapeoko3. When you go to save your file there is a option with a drop down window that says post processor. Which one would I use on my shapeoko 3? I can not actually save it because I only have the trial version.
thanks
@SonicStrikeFPV Not sure about the Shapeoko3…I have a custom built Shapeoko3 with the TinyG contoller and I got the profile from here…

I assume it should be the same since its basically the same controller I think.
Good luck.
@Jose_Chambrot
thanks I have some test files that allow me to save some gcode so I will try it tonight
@Jose_Chambrot
In cut2d I do not see an open file button to select that file for the possessor.
@Jose_Chambrot
I contacted cut2d support and they said to use Grbl0.8c (mm)(* .gcode) so I will give that a try
@SonicStrikeFPV Cool! Let me know if that works…I have been tempted to attempt cutting some Carbon Fiber.
@Jose_Chambrot
will do
Shapeoko 3’s Carbide Motion Board does use Grbl: Shapeoko CNC Router, Rigid, Accurate, Reliable, and Affordable
So you should be able to use makercam then?!
