I have a Solidoodle 3 that has been faithfully printing it’s little heart out since 2013. But the heated bed has warped to the point that I can only use the middle section to print, otherwise the prints won’t stick. I’m looking for a plug-n-play replacement. I don’t mind making mechanical mods to get the bed to fit but right now I don’t want to replace any electronics or power. Just want to mount the bed, wire it in and start printing. Any suggestions?
I am unfamiliar with the Solidoodle 3 but I would recommend some sort of PEI coated bed. Heated glass is nice because it won’t warp…perfectly flat build surface. What sort of size is your current build plate? There are a number of good choices depending on your size
