I have a solidoodle 3 that is “Ok to ship”, I guess this means it’s going to be shipping out soon from the factory. Before it gets here, what sort of tools and parts should I buy so that the calibration and setup goes as smoothly as possible?

Digital callipers are a must. Acetone if you are printing with ABS. Kapton tape. Digital multimeter is also useful.

Putty knife, needle nose pliers of various sizes, potentiometer screw driver. I use alcohol to clean the bed, I’m afraid to spill acetone in my office.

I highly recommend going with hairspray on glass… it will make your life a lot easier.

clean the glass well with alcohol before applying a thin coat of hairspray. Use binder clips to hold the glass to your existing bed.

Also, buy some tweezers and a spare hot end so you can replace it quickly when you get a clog or something,
