I have been playing with a MyRiwell r3dp-001a printer using ABS filament with mixed results. Was thinking of switching to PLA after reading up on pros/cons. Anybody have any experience or tips with using the MyRiwell? Thanks.
I didn’t realize someone threw the guts of a 3D printer into a tupperware container. Honestly, there’s going to be practically nobody who can answer this - it’s some no-name chinese printer.
Looks like one of the ones that dude from JoyFay was trying to sell here a few months back. He might have some input but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
Thanks for the input guys. Cheers.
Can you give us some more details on the printer? Maybe some close up pictures of the extruder with the guarding off. These things are all based off the same principles so other lessons should apply.
Hi Joe,
All my documentation is in chinese but Amazon has the specs and some images posted here: http://www.amazon.com/Myriwell-R3DP-001A-Printer-Nozzle-Aperture/dp/B00DG0GTU6#productDescription
I changed the layer thickness to.15mm(from the default .27mm) and it has improved the overall detail and edge crispness, but I find that there are gaps in the surface in any horizontal areas. Unfortunately the english manual was poorly translated and does not mention the advance settings. Thanks.
