I have finally finished my printer. Final stage was auto bed leveling with hotend. I think this is simliest leveling ever. I have used 3 pcs M3 screws and pencil spring. It works
Your printer looks very sturdy and accurate. How does your leveling system work?
It works great.i have print 5-6 prints and for now there are no errors. printer is large and heavy,24 kg.
Also i need to say that i have also everything leveled,so corrections are minimal,0.15mm is biggest difference.
What kind of sensor do you use for auto bed leveling?
Looks great, 1 thing… I was under the impression that you couldn’t use auto leveling with glass… but clearly you are. Is it just a setting you have taking into account the glass thickness?
None. I use diy NC limit switch with two M4 screws, and hotend. My offsets in firmware are 0,0,0
I don’t see the limit switch anywhere near the hot end… This magic baffles me
Hehe, its very simple actually :)hot end is limit switch
So, It looks like your using an E3Dv6, that functionality isn’t built into it for sure. Only thing I can think if is that the hotend is suspended somehow so that if its pushed up at all it triggers the limit. That close?
yes.i have 1.5 mm wire rotating axis, and moving platform on x drive. diy nc endstop using two m5 imbus screw, and m3 screw with spring pushing them together. that is all. plain simple
Regardless. Looks like it works great!
