I have installed LW4 on a Windows 7 PC, but the command window and workspace remain blank. Also, it does not respond to selecting the settings tab on the left. Do I need a support library (i.e.: Qt) to get it going?
Note that it works fine on my Laptop, also Windows 7, but I don’t want to leave that in my work area because of dust.
The installer takes care of support libraries. Workspace remaining blank usually means WebGL doesn’t work. Try testing this on Chrome on that machine: https://www.shadertoy.com/view/XsBXWt
I have the same issue on ONE machine, which is a 16GB AMD A10 win10 laptop… WebGL just won’t initialize, despite latest drivers, sufficient memory, etc.! It’s probably not a LaserWeb issue, it’s a Chrome/WebGL issue… Try the WebGL test site in Chrome: http://get.webgl.org
(Weird thing is that it does work in Canary!!!)

The shadertoy would not run, and as per CescoAiel’s post, it fails the WebGL test. I’ve checked and I have the latest video drivers. So, unless there are other ideas I guess guess I’m just out of luck with that machine!
