I have LW4 running on my K40,

I have LW4 running on my K40, connected to an old Dell laptop running Win7 (called cnc-laptop). I installed LW4 on it, and on my main laptop, and I can connect without issue. I can connect from my main laptop, and use the CNC-laptop as the usb connection. everything is working well in that respect.

But, when I try to run LW4 on my cnc-laptop, despite being able to connect, I can’t actually use the software. I’ve added a screenshot. it’s as if the laptop is getting stuck on rendering or something. Any ideas?

Screenshot attached.

I’m guessing your notebook is fairly old (like mine) and doesn’t support the graphics driver needed to render in the browser.

I figured that’s what it might be. Figured it should be able to do a software render though…

I bummed so I would get the gcode using my desktop and then use the universal gcode sender on the old notebook.

Either @Vaden_Mohrmann is correct or you have WebGL disabled

I enabled webgl in chrome. no dice. :frowning: I think Vaden is correct, but I wonder how I can force software generation instead of directx (or whatever hardware accelaration is used)

LW can’t do software render
