I have now started publishing the parts so that @brett_turnage , ryan hoagland and @Daniel_Noree can inspect the design to use it in their designs. I started publishing from the rear so what is there at the moment is rear wing, rear axle with diff, the cradle (or motor pod?) and the clamp for the central pivot ball.
It would be fun if we could merge the constructions so that we can have the looks of the OpenRC and still competition level performance.
Another thing that would be nice is to create a damping system that is 3d printed. The side damping are basically a tube where a constant diameter piston (with small grooves in intervals) is moving in grease. This should be easily done with 3d printing. It is on my list but far down so if there is any takers, please CAD away.

you should post pictures of your car on your thing page. Always helps to better illustrate your creation.
I know. I am short of time so I cut corners…
well whenever you get time. It looks good.
I can take a look at designing the damping parts if you can point me in the right direction. I race offroad cars only so I’m not all that familiar with exactly what you need.
The side dampers on F1 and other pan-cars are like this: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0162/5260/products/p1010572_1024x1024.jpg?v=1366890760
Then it is a thick oil/grease causing the dampening effect. If using oil it should be something like 1 000 000 cts.
My thinking is that such a solution could work for the main damper also but that will need some experimenting.
I think damping is the second most important part of the F1 car, rear axle precision the most.
I will hopefully have something for you today. I assume the two parts should slide freely but be tight enough to create some friction?
The friction is from the grease so it should be some small play. No need to hurry as I am away from my printers for 3 more weeks. Besides, I will probably use the ones I have already for the nearest future. But it would be good to have as many parts as possible printable for new people.
As promised @Kent_Asplund , here is a link to the side dampers you asked for. I printed one last night and the tolerance between the piston and body seems right. I haven’t designed a mounting bracket to fit on my suspension system, but that’s my next task. (Along with retrofitting your diff design to fit @Daniel_Noree 's car.)
Let me know if you think it will work…
Looks great. I will order some ball ends from hobbyking and assemble one for testing.
