I have some components (some pins and a switching Regulator DC to DC 5V) to weld on my Smoothiebord, I never weld on a pcb board so what is your opinion:

Soldier it rather than weld it for starters… i think you’re in above your skill level.

Just an FYI if this is your first project… Don’t do it, get a solder practice kit. If you screw up and drip solder on the board you will break the thing.

dont ‘DO IT’! Just ‘do it.’ if you use all caps and an exclamation point while soldering you need to use a heatsink as well, the extra energy can burn out components on the PCB.
