I have the last two rod arms drying after replacing the rod ends. It seems like it is a necessity to remove the diagonal arms from a delta printer prior to having them jostle around in a car.
A rod jig to help make sure they are assembled correctly is a good idea too. For now, I am making do with a cardboard box and some screws. Yes, I have the screws going through the holes in the rod ends and into the end of a cardboard box. It is shitty, but it will do the trick.

Yeesh, cardboard? Good luck :-/

A long time ago I decided that I would make all my delta rods using a single jig mounted on an extrusion (w/ printed joint pockets bolted on) and never disassemble it. That way, if I ever break an arm, I know I can make another one that matches as well as the original set. (Yeah, I have a small pile of rod jigs in a cabinet, and that’s fine.)

@Ryan_Carlyle well, the last time I took all of the arms off and put wires through them and the new arm. It turns out that it resulted in them being allowed to twist and I hand a 5-10 degree twist between the two ends of a rod end. Oops…

Okay! I inspected the rods and they were off. I forgot that I had once folded the flaps and neglected to think about how tht would effect the straightness of the flap. (face palm) Luckily for me, the gorilla glue was not all the way hardened. I managed to slowly twist them and use he screws like a rifle sight to make sure they were straight. It is at least as good as I can get without a jig.
