I have the Z axis on my OX set up as stock as per Mark Carews build. What should the steps/mm be for the Z axis assuming the stock setup with 1/8 micro stepping? Just looking for a starting point to dial in from)
The AMCE is a 2 pitch 4 start. You get 8mm of travel per revolution. Each revolution is 360 degrees, you are most likely us sing 1.8 degree steppers. Meaning there are 200 steps per turn. From here you can get your steps/mm or mm/ rev, different controllers look for different inputs.
