I just finished my build. It isn’t a R7, but is a C-beam Ok style machine. I am running the Tinyg, 800w spindle, and 110v VFD FROM SMW3D. I saw mention on here about PWM and want to know if there is a plug and play solution yet?
She’s a beauty sir!
I have not had the opportunity to tune in the PWM control of the spindle as of yet unfortunately. Hope to soon have it figured out.
Thanks. I hope to see this feature soon. I am considering removing the plate in front. On the Ys. In the example Openbuilds it had the 250mm extrusion mounted in the middle of both plates. During assembly I find there are no hole that match that configuration. The original setup would have distributed the weight over a long area with 6 additional wheels. Now I am stuck using one plate with only 6 wheels
@Chris1 watch my personal post tomorrow. I will be playing with Pwm control, but on a slightly more complicated set-up.
Can SMW3D assist with different Y plates? Note, moving the force (moment) of the spindle onto the y plates rear wheels (like the R4) will create a much more rigid machine. Actually, no wheels or restriction is required for a good 40mm behind the end mill. Shoot SMW3D a DXf if you need a custom Y plate, we can speak post.
