I just got my A Axis working after compiling the firmware for 4 axis. It works OK when I “Laser cut” a file but if I try to “Raster Engrave” it runs to the material and appears to make one scan line and stops. The job still indicates it “Running…” in the lower right hand of the screen, but nothing is happening. It also indicates "Queued … and then some large number. I also noticed it says “IDLE” instead of “Run”.
I then tried to run the gcode off of the SD card and got it to raster scan on the rotary axis but it seems like its skipping some lines? I noticed the A Axis does not seem to move continuously while raster scanning. It will pause then move after a number of X axis scans…causing the skipped lines. See pic.
I’m running LW 4.0.991 on a Win7 64bit laptop.
Looks like I might have to try GBRL? or disable the A Axis and plug my rotary attachment into the Y Axis?
