I just released my 3D printed Chappie head on Thingiverse : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1000855
I designed this before the movie was released in 123D design and 3D printed in ABS.
Im working on the electronics and 8x8 Matrix LEDs for eyes.

Great robot design, unfortunately the worst movie :frowning:

What surprised me about that movie was when I later found out that Die Antwoord played the two main characters in the movie and that’s their persona - they weren’t acting, at least not for the movie. So none of the creativity of their characters was written for the movie, they sortof just showed up on set, skipped the makeup and costume truck, and played themselves with a script. Watch this video and you basically see the same characters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLyhb5iG-5g

@Steve_Prior yeah characters which are pretty much the worst people in the world and NOT a true representation of South African’s at all, quite an embarrassment really. Totally highjacked the OP’s original post about 3d printing, sorry, but that movie grinded me

@Ruald_Andreae maybe you like the short movie Tempbot by Neill Blomkamp which has a similar robot working in an office. Try a google on Tempbot.

Ah ok, will do. Fan of his work, District 9 is still a top favourite, but he made a mistake casting Die Antwoord as stars of the movie. I heard he regretted it too.
