I just updated the Many-maker Desktop Plastic Injection Moulding campaign video with the Pro-model images. Tell me what you think.

@John_Foreman All ok now, must have been a temporary problem.
@Lafras_Henning I really like your simple solution to a problem that most makers don’t even realize they have! Put another way, once you have the luxury of making parts with injection molding and the infinite variety of materials available as pellets, it’s a game changer. And yet most people haven’t experienced this yet. I hope your machine will bring injection molding into the mainstream for most of us makers!
I’m a Mechanical Engineer in my day job and have designed hundreds (perhaps thousands) of parts for injection molding, and also have built up simple moldmaking capabilities at our shop at our office at work. We recently (last 3 years) started experimenting with injection molding directly into all kinds of 3D printed molds. We found that it’s far easier to do than most engineers think. But the barrier is still high because even small used molding machines are too expensive to own (for hobby use). We’ve been working with local molders to rent machine time, because the company can afford it. But I’ve long wished for a simple and affordable machine like yours for personal use!
By the way, could you elaborate a bit about your color mixing screw option? Is this a genuine injection screw, or more like what we see on a filistruder?
