I know its important, but i can’t help but feel that cost of filament is not the limiting factor of 3D printing.

At about 35$/kg for PLA I do not see filament an issue for 3D print prototype or even limited production.

yeah… even at that price…

I shouldn’t release my sources, but I know they can manufacture and sell (and obviously make profit) PLA and ABS materials for under $12/kg
