I know they aren’t strictly DIY but I really admire Max from Formlabs for his talk (when clearly not a comfortable public speaker) at #CES2015 , he talked openly about the struggles they faced in fulfilling KS orders, amazingly before the crowdfunding campaign had even finished they’d sold enough machines to claim to be the third largest manufacturer. This is quite an open and honest talk, which I think you’ll enjoy.
