I know we're out of stock over at E3D - Not for long! Promise.

I know we’re out of stock over at E3D - Not for long! Promise.

Demand for v6 has been really high, we’re ramping up to meet demand. We should be back to business as usual in 10 days, we’ve put a longer lead time on the site to be conservative.

Two of those will be mine!

Your machinist must be feeling bored, doing the same parts time after time after time.

Will you be adapting the Kraken to the new V6 heater block?

You should do a whole video, showing start to finish how one e3d nozzle is made. It’s like machine porn, mesmerizing to watch.

Out of stock? I got mine just in time then!
Thanks @Sanjay_Mortimer .

@Stephanie_A That is something we’ve really wanted to do for some time. It’s tricky because various parts are made at different locations that specialise in different processes. For example the heat-breaks are manufactured in a two step process at two separate locations. Furthermore things like the heatsinks run continuously for around a week before the machine is switched over to run nozzles etc. But seeing the number of people that have +1’d your comment we’ll look into this more seriously. It would just be plain fun too!

Can you please give another update?
I just ordered and I really hope the wait will be less than 2-4 weeks

Parts are coming in nearly every day, but supply is lagging slightly behind demand at present, but this will normalise over the course of the next 2 weeks.

The machines have to run say a few thousand of one part, like a 1.75mm HeatSink, and then move onto nozzles. Which is leaving us in situations where we have thousands of one component but none of the others so kits can’t be completed. It doesn’t make good sense to constantly switch the machines between different components as the setup time and material changes are time consuming and labour intensive. It’s just a matter of waiting for all the bits to come in.

It’s pretty likely that you’ll get your stuff earlier than the worst case scenario of 2-4 weeks, but we try and set expectations conservatively.

That makes sense, thanks!
