I love my heated chamber :-) abs print on to Glass with gluestick.

I love my heated chamber :slight_smile: abs print on to Glass with gluestick. 0% warping

Nice. What’s the:
Printer?
Slicer?
Head & bed temps?

The printer is a modified mendel 90.
Slicer is simplify 3d.
Heat bed at 110c (about 90 measured with ir) e3d v6 at 250c (I know this is hi but i normaly print at 245c, my temp probe is probably off some…) .

Chamber at 38C

wouldn’t a 60 or 80 watt incandescent light bulb heat up a chamber to around 38C? might be a easy hack for people who don’t have that option.

What do you use to heat the chamber? Can You share more pictures of the chamber? I have a Mendel 90, and would be interested and n learning more about what you have done

Incandescent bulb are great heaters. I still had one out in the garage, mounted in a fixture with a clamp on the back and a big spot reflector. I aim the 100W bulb at the bed, and it heats about twice as fast. With this and the bed, the extruder reads around 40C before I turn it on. Adding the heated chamber was the best mod I ever made.

@Dale_Dunn I’ve used a Aluminum pie plate before as a reflector. Works great and you get one free with each pie you buy:), just made a hole in the middle for the bulb to screw into.

@Markku_Lehtola

Funny that you mentioned a light bulb… I had big problem with my atx power supply 12v line. The answer was a 30w 12v bulb on the 5v line. It’s one of the heating secrets :wink: glad to hear that you are interested. I make a post about the chamber tomorrow!
