I’ m new here. this is my simple 3d printer, it uses aluminum alloy frame ,42 stepper motors,X and Y axises are belt drive,Z axis uses double T8 lead screws.I bought all the parts from Internet, only cost 750RMB(about $117) .
this looks great - How long did it take to assemble ?
@JOHN_YN about 10 days…it made my back very very sour.lol~~~ I spent 300 RMB for three times massage .
Hi, I think thit looks great. I want to get one for my son. I’m disabled and he’s getting on 9yrs now. I never expected him to be so sharp but he’s already askimg me about what we can do to make money . Do you think investing in these is a good idea?
@Mario_Jurado 3D printer will change our life in the future . .it will getting more popular. I have a friend who is an university student ,he sells 3D printers online(Taobao) , he can get more than 30 orders per month. that’s enough to support his tuition. even he can save money for his future .
if you want to invest in these,do it as earlier as you can . low price and not too bad quality most of DIYers willing to get one.
Hope your life getting better! my friend! life is tough,but hope always give the people who never give up,and having wise eyes.
How does the filament unwinder work? Tension?
@Gary_Deen I install a 42 stepper motor,and modified marlin source code,let the unwinder stepper motor working with stepper motor of the extruder synchronously.
But a full spool gives J mm for a 360 degree turn and a nearly empty spool
gives J-J’. An empty spool must be turned more to deliver the same length
of filament.
Maybe that motor is pulling the filament and not TURNING the spool.
@Gary_Deen I set a microswitch to prevent this problem. you can find the full size picture of it, look at the part that on the top right corner., the filament is through the hold. the switch will be triggered when the filament tightened…actually I don’t need to use stepper motor, the common Dc motor is ok. haha,just I dont have common DC motor… :)))))
Thank you!
@JOHN_YN about 1 week .
