I’m trying to build a vacuum table while waiting for my replacement spindle to arrive. Some errors when routing but it might work

Are you going to have sections that you block off? Or use a rubber oring to suit smaller jons?

@Paul_Shaw yes

Sections to block off, if it works

Using a piece of foam rubber

I have 4 separate milled channels leading to different sections of the table. I’m trying to somewhat follow a YouTube video I saw of Ralf Klaassen.

Foam is porous. Our table uses silicone rubber tubing as partition/seals

@Mike_Thornbury yes. I bought the rubber foam and I think I might replace it. I saw the silicone like pieces. I think I might get that. Better yet, I may try to use plumber’s putty (since I have an OVER ABUNDANCE of that after repairing my disposal.

You use tubing, like 1/4” soft tube, embedded into the table to create a seal against the workpiece. Just use sheet ply to block off what you want . I misspoke when I said use silicone tube - you want neoprene.

From about 1:45 in this video it shows him laying out the tube on a table: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sx8fAv5f8js
