I need help on how to make a List of A-Z parts list & would be gratefull to any one in helping me out . types I’v been looking to build Combertion 3D & CNC water Flow Jet Machine , upto 6 to 8 axcess Machine I know I can buy parts on the internet . I use to be a wood machinist when I was 18 & now Build Computers .
I looked into building my own waterjet cutting system. That’s really difficult, it turns out. The equipment to produce the required pressure and the associated abrasive feeder and nozzle are mostly proprietary. I couldn’t find any off-the-shelf stuff.
You don’t want to play with waterjets.
If the jet on those machines so much as nips your finger you basically need your arm amputated. The jet moves so fast that it will actually blow pockets of water and air all through your arm if it hits you.
Since these machines also involve small pools to stop the jet which are lovely homes for bacteria, getting hit with one basically guarantees horrible infections throughout the limb.
I agree with @Nick_Parker . I work with a water jet at work and we are dealing with pressures in excess of 50,000 psi and that’s just to cut foam and thin plastics with no abrasive. With those kinds of pressures if everything is not tightened and assembly just right and a line blows it can cause some serious damage.
