I need help… Why is it that my STL files will load into my software but won’t let me print
Do u convert to other type of file to print it?
@Harith_Slay no… I download the files straight from thingiverse
@Jayson_Gray stl is not the format u use to print it… U have to use Cura software to set it print location n it will turn to another type of file. I forgot the name
I have an einstart printer and it came with it’s own software… Is there a software that works with all printers?
@Harith_Slay nvm I got it now… I converted the file… Thanks
@Jayson_Gray that’s good. If ur printer have their own software, then use the software. Most probably it file type ia different.
But Cura is the most common software to convert the file.
Some STLs contain problematic topologies. Try https://service.netfabb.com/login.php to fix your STL.
@Jayson_Gray the STL file need to be sliced and converted into especific gcode for your printer, also some stls from thingiverse sometimes are broken, its a good practice to heal the file before sending it to your slicer, you can use netfabb or meshmixer
