I need help with creating support material. I remember reading somewhere about software that can generate support material on .stl files outside of slicer so you can see it and adjust it directly on the .stl file. i am having a very bad time with slicer (slic3r) putting support on everything including holes, i upgraded to slicer 1.0 with no help. i hear kisslicer is easier but have no experience. I love Repetier host and slicer for everything but trying to do support i would like to find a software program that can just add the support to the model so i can adjust it before slicing. thanks

I recommend Autodesk Meshmixer. Here’s a video showing what you can do.

Wow @Chris_Reyes that is awesome. I am working on the Cyborg Beast hand for the E-nable group for a lady in Chicago so i will try using the software tonight to get a good print. thanks
