I own the Pegasus 12" printer and very happy with it but I would

I own the Pegasus 12" printer and very happy with it but I would like to convert it to an Ultimaker design or corexy. Can anyone help me out with some kind of BOM I would need and maybe a link to a design I can follow. TIA

Could do a CoreXZ build easier

Core XY is good. If you want to go like the Ultimaker then check out the Aluminum extrusion ultimaker 2 on thingiverse. Should be a similar style.

I feel a box style printer with ‘prusa/mendel’ motion platform is counter-intuitive. You could convert into a H-Bot, or CoreXY, but the Pegasus is probably higher than the cost of building from scratch; Although still possible.

You may be better of designing your own kinematics to suit the frame, fairly easy; it’d take me a few hours (But only because I’ve been designing coreXY platforms for soo long).

You’d want to start by taking the Z-gantry and turning into your Y-gantry (turn 90 deg) all while keeping the X-gantry complete. then design a few belt idlers, tensioners, effector mounts and Viola’ for the coreXY, then just make a simple Z-platform and your done, almost…

I’m currently building a large-scale printer using coreXY. The official CoreXY website is very helpful, as it shows you the basic layout of components, especially belts. http://corexy.com/theory.html

I am looking at the 12" Pegasus. How reliable is it and have you had any issues?
