I posted a while back looking for help using CRGBset to make a sign for my makerspace. Well, after some coding and much wiring, I’ve finally finished. This is just the test pattern, I can upload new patterns via the Nano running the code.
Here’s a video, https://youtu.be/ei9pPbr7u1Q I can’t figure out how to embed video here, so I guess I"ll just post the link for now. This is a test pattern, but others can be loaded via a Nano.
@Ken_Goldstein that sign is awesome! Looks so good!
Do you have any pictures of how the letters are made?
(A link to a youtube video will always work fine.)
No pictures as of yet, but I 3D printed them out of clear T-Glass (70% infill) using Autodesk Fusion 360 to design them. I put 6x6mm indentations on the back to hold the LED strips then painted everything except the front and the LED indents with silver, then black acrylic paint. As I said before, the hardest part was wiring the strips together, especially on letters with curves (“B” was the hardest). I used 2812B chipped LEDs @ 60/m. I’ll get pics of some spare letters up soon
Here are a couple of spare, unwired letters. I have a couple of other programs I’ll try to upload when I get back to the space.
