I present to you, my best effort at making a D120. That is a 120 sided dice. also known as the disdyakis triacontahedron
Now just label 1 through 120
That’s going to take a little bit of time. There is a certain layout for the numbers that makes the dice entirely fare. I just need to figure out what that layout is.
@Brandon_Waid With recessed numbers and print
@Blake_Dunham You haven’t heard of the work of @Henry_Segerman have you? He’s already made a D120.
That thing’s never gonna stop rolling… D100s are a pain.
I have heard of him. I was disappointed that there were no models available to download, however I knew that was to be expected. So this is my best rendition of the D120 dice idea.
@Blake_Dunham how does it matter where the numbers are? As long as they all have an equal sized place and the weight is equally distributed it wouldn’t matter how they are labeled right?
@Casey_Hoke go watch the numberfile videos and videos of @Henry_Segerman as he explains why the d120 is the last word on the largest you can go on a “mathematically fair” die.
@Stuart_Young I wasn’t the first to make a D120: http://shpws.me/Gcfy (And I’m not sure whether or not this one is the first design either.)
This was a very interesting shape to make. I did very little math to make this. Actually making it was a bit of a learning experience.
crazy i would never have the pateince or skill to make that
