I printed 1 with no issues. I got cocky. Then I added 6 designs to the platter and walked away from the MK3. Came in this morning to find the fan shroud snapped off at the screw and the mess you see below. Is the the Fail Stats/Last Print report screen showing me that it stopped at those coordinates or not. Also the print job should have been closer to 6+ hours but the info screen shows only 3+ hours, soon I’m guessing that’s what happened. Yeesh.
Update: A little CA glue and then some Bondic and I was able to salvage the fan shroud. Amazingly the Extruder was not clogged at all. But the Heater block and everything is coated in white PLA. Is it best to heat it up to temp and just scrape the excess off with Paper or cloth or do I need to go more aggressive and use Acetone, etc?
I stoped trying to print multiple items, especially tall narrow ones at once on the MK3, seems to always cause a crash panic and something like this happens
Use a brass wire brush from hardware store, they are 1/2 inch wide 1 inch long, six inch handle, heat nozzle to working temp, brush clean, but clean bristles before it all hardens, a flame on nozzle will leave carbon and may burn other parts
I’ve had problems with my MK2 and multiple copies as well. Not sure why, though I’ve wondered whether the auto bed level adjustment could play some part.
