@Jason_Ray
Thanks for the Pro Tip. I’m going to try that today.
@ThantiK
I admire your honesty. You’re a brave man
Did you order directly from mbot? Their online store sure looks good… I’ve seen Wanhao quite a bit lately online in the past few months, but I haven’t heard any actual buyer feedback. It seems like most folks that go with FlashForge are reasonably happy with their MBI clones.
Nice model, was it hard to paint over PLA? I’ve heard that you need to sand it and apply primer before painting. Alos what paint did you use, acrylic?
@El_from_LTF_Local_Ti I mention earlier what paints I used. (See the ninth post from the top). I found it fairly easy to paint on the PLA. You must use a plastic primer and keep your model free from oils. Wear latex gloves or mount your model on something you can easily hold. I used a fine spray-on plastic primer. (The type used on tabletop figurines)
Nice paint job! I already spend too much printer time on my daughter’s cosplay addiction… better not let her see the MLP.
@berry_jordaan what brand/type is the plastic primer you used?

It’s very expensive but it gets the job done. I use it on my table top figurines.
