I printed this 2 color logo, by using the @pause command in Repetier Host. I inserted an @pause in the gcode just before the Z move between layers. Repetier allows you to create custom code that is executed after a pause. in this case.
G1 E-5 ;Retract filament 5mm
G1 Z100 ; Raise the print head

I then changed out the filament flushed it through, and manually performed a 5mm retract before unpausing. The manual retract, was because the next command to be executed after the printhead returned to the location where the pause was initiated, was a return from a 5 mm retract, and I didn’t want a blob at the start.

The logo is printed from NinjaFlex flexible urethane filament at 215C
The NinjaFlex colors are very vibrant and it’s pretty easy to print with once you get the hang of it.
The printer is a Mendel90 with a Melzi controller and E3D hotend.

Very cleaver. Did you move the head to the side to flush the filament through ?

No, I just placed a small piece of Formica over the print table to cover the part that was already printed.

ah good idea
