I put a larger diameter face plate on my large clock/lamp to better hide

I put a larger diameter face plate on my large clock/lamp to better hide the LEDS, and I think it looks much better. The face is thin and ~13.5" in diameter. The 1m 60 APA102 LED strip is mounted around a ~12.5" diameter disc. The Spark Core is inside a hollowed-out section on the back.

I really like Mark’s Juggle pattern on it. I’ll be sharing more soon. Just tell me if you’re getting tired of my posts, and I’ll cut back. :slight_smile:

Almost perfect… you really gotta hide that wire !

Yeah, thought about using a battery pack, there’s lots of space inside on the back. I’m not going to drill holes in the wall. :slight_smile:

@Jason_Coon But it’s so easy !! :wink:

Also noticed the face plate seems to have rough edges. If this is just a prototype, I agree about no hole in the wall.

Yeah, still a cardboard prototype. Should be creating wood bodies soon.

Hmmm… I’m putting up drywall in my office soon… I think I may just have to put in a clock height outlet :wink:

Looks cool. Can you please share the code - I’d love to run it on my infinity mirror clock.

This gives me a great idea for some sort of battery wall clock for my daughters room. I love it. Thanks.
