“The colors generated by the SK9822 look different from the colors generated by the APA102C, so we would not recommend mixing the APA102C and the SK9822 in a single project.”
Anyone put these side by side and noticed a color difference? Different in what way?
RGB is RGB! Same color rendition between all these pixels. What MAY be different is the position of the RGB LEDs inside the pixels, which may effect how the color diffuses inside the shell. I have tested this with ws2812, sk6812, apa102 and sk9822 pixels.
On a side note, you should definitely NOT mix these in a project as they are not compatible which each other. the APA102 and SK9822 have a slightly different protocol. Specifically when the pixels write out.
I just randomly ran across that page with that info while doing a search for something else. Yes, I’ve mostly bought strips from Ray.
What you said makes sense, and is why I was wondering what might possibly be different. I don’t plan to mix different types either. Thanks @Leon_Yuhanov
