I should be able to plug in USB to a Melzi 2.0 shorting the PWR-SEL jumper to USB right? just to see what firmware is loaded and stuff.
I should then be able to just use one stepper motor + endstop, while having it in the other shorting configuration (for normal use) Without any other wires attached ? In the end I want to only have say X-axis and X-endstop plugged in, I could leave everything else unplugged?
and YES, i’m no expert on firmware… or anything related to this hardware stuff really. My goal is to use the old Melzi 2.0 I have laying around from a RepRapPro Huxely build and drive one of its stepper motors for a camera slider. If you have any guides and so, please let me know!
