I started my own workspace called grblLaser to add a few things specific to my laser. Is this the only way to add my own widget to a workspace like grbl?

If I use the same widgets that grbl workspace use, I assume I get their updates right away. However, I assume I would need to coordinate my changes to merge if the author of the grbl workspace make changes?

2 ways to do this.

  1. Create own workspace like you’re doing. Most likely all widgets you use are good to go.
  2. Create a macro that loads your widget(s) and just always inject your macro into the workspace. See the “Inject Cams” macro for an example. (Soon you will be able to auto-load macro on load of workspace)

I recommend just doing a new workspace. That’s what workspaces were created for. Also, I’d like to play around with your workspace once you create it because I do a lot of laser work too and would find your new widgets super handy.
