I started to print The default gcode treefrog from the Prusa SD card.

I used default heat settings of 215/55.

I got one layer in an stopped this print as it wasn’t looking promising.

After the fact I checked my AMZ3D filament and it says 180-210,so I’m curious if any of you can confirm if this happened due to the nozzle being too hot?

I’m also wondering if it’s a nozzle height issue. (-440)

Thank you.

It is most likely heat related, you can start the same print again and during the heat up process you can navigate to the tune (I think it is tune, can’t confirm since I am not currently near my printer) go down to temperature and manually adjust the nozzle temp to the recommended range.

@Carter_Schunk Yeah. I’ll probably do that next. Or try to print it using the filament I used before that printed fantastically.

It probably is heat related though.

You can also edit gcode files pretty easily. All the temperature setting instructions will say S215 (if that’s what the current temp setting is), and you can just edit that to say S210. I just looked at my treefrog gcode file from my Prusa SD, and there were two Sxxx references so just change them both and you should be good. Just be sure to save it as a plain text file and not modify the extension from .gcode to anything else.

…And i stripped the Extruder Pulley Grub Screw…I’m done for the foreseeable future.

Dammit!

@LogicalWaste I have done the same thing before, contact their support and they might be able to hook you up.

Looks wayyyy too close to the bed.
