I stayed in an AirBnB in the woods outside of Faber, VA last weekend. On the balcony outside of the room, there were a couple of giant quartz crystals. Naturally, I happened to have APA102s, a nano clone, and 5v power block. I had to throw in @Andrew_Tuline 's code to see what happened. It was pretty mesmerizing. Link to code in the YouTube notes.

Wao! I have been looking out for big white crystals for some time now, and selenite seems to do a really great job and are quiet cheap!
How do they diffuse the light if it comes in from the side, can you see the pixels?
So beautiful! I wonder what the mystics would say about the “charge” you’re giving them. I do a lot of craft shows with this fascinating tarot card reader and she’s always telling me that I should be charging my crystals (I them use a lot in my jewelry) with positive intentions in the light of the full moon. I did it once in the front yard before getting self conscious that I was testing the limits of my neighbors’ tolerance for my weirdness. But my backyard is all woods and way too scary for positive intentions!
