I think I just killed my @Printrbot Simple Printrboard connecting the auto-level probe…
It’s not communicating anymore and the extruder fan keeps spinning…
Any hints ?
Just realized what I did wrong… Connected the wrong side of the +Printrboard probe adapter cable to the Printrboard, this bringing +12v to the pin2 of the Z-Stop connector. Pin 2 is +5v… Si just injected +12v on the +5v rail. ouch… It’s definitively toasted…
Now @Printrbot only has RevF on their store and it has a 6 pin power connector. I have a RevD with the 4 pin power connector…

I’ve converted all my printrbots to Ramps. Not touching the printrboard again.
Arghhh unable to order a RevD from @Printrbot . Store says there are 2 left but then it says:
“Sorry, we do not have enough “Printrboard Rev D (refurbished)” in stock to fulfill your order right now. Please try again in 60 minutes or edit your cart and try again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
@Andre_Courchesne1 why no Rev F?
@Thomas_Sanladerer well rev F has a 6 pin power connectio and I am wired for the 4 pins. Also didn’t some stepper changed direction on rev F ?
@Andre_Courchesne1 stepper direction is easy to fix: Just flip the motor connector around.
The new power connector is “from the same family”, as @Printrbot puts it, so i’d expect it to be compatible with the older 4-pin one. Either way, printrbot’s printrboard comes with a fresh 6-pin to barrel jack harness.
This sucks, can not even order the rev F from @Printrbot store … Getting the same:

Even if the store shows there is 1 remaining in stock…
Ok, so was able to order a RevD board. Don’t really see the benefit of the RevF (according to the changelog anyway). And the RevD was 30$ less than the RevF.
It’s already shipped from @Printrbot offices. Can’t wit to put my printer back in working order and finish my Z-Probe install.
