I think it’s time to buy me a Christmas present. I’m getting ready to order a Shapeoko vs full kit. Is there anything I need to know about it. Its sad it has electronics is there anything else I need?
Buy yourself some 1/8" end mills with 2 flutes. Carbide.
Get some v-bits for engraving. Ball end for nice finishing work. Different sizes, but get many of the main 1/8" ones. Get 1 flute O-mill for plastics.

I think so. Better all round mills for wood. More flutes = more cuts per revoltion. That equals nicer finish, but also that it may cut the same chips many times before they can evacuate. More heat and lower tool life if it rubs too long in one spot.
I used 2 flute on acrylic, and it melted the plastic at even low speeds (6000 RPM), but when I used 1 flute, I got great cuts.
