I took Aria dragon,

I took Aria dragon, heated up with hot air until soft and then rearticulated

great idea!

How fun. Very clever

Maybe I should make a ball-jointed Aria model. I had sworn off making dragons for a while, but I think that would be different enough to make it interesting.

Lovely print and the pose does give her more life. I made her as she was because I was worried about people having problems printing her. I’m writing a blog article about her - may I use some of these photo’s to illustrate a point? You will be credited of course.

Sure you can, thanks

@xZ_ya I’m actually going to start a kickstarter campaign this week to 3D print a special tool I invented. I print dragons in a meanwhile

+xZ ya It has as many uses as your imagination can think of. Brackets and useful items aren’t as pretty to look at.

Very nice.
Searching for the Hot-Air-Gun tonight

I used hot air gun from my soldering station, set temp to 220C and air flow to max, blasted each side of the wing for 4 seconds

@Richard_Horne I don’t know if they have Harbor Freights in the UK, but a Plastic Welding kit is a nice tool for doing something like this. You can adjust the temperatures a little more finely and the smaller nozzle allows for more precise control: http://www.harborfreight.com/plastic-welding-kit-with-air-motor-and-temperature-adjustment-96712.html or http://www.harborfreight.com/plastic-welding-kit-with-adjustable-temperature-96464.html

@Mike_Kelly_Mike_Make Exactly! I’ve learned a lot about the technology through artistic design. Life without art would be very dull indeed and I often use techniques acquired through art for non-artistic work.

+Richard Horne We had a hot air gun in the UK - I think we got it from B&Q

@Mike_Kelly_Mike_Make @Louise_Driggers Oh, I have them, just need to find one  I use tiny blow torches and various heating things for 3D printing. Even just a lighter for joining filament sections when I’m feeling lazy. The wings are printed almost totally solid, so it should be easy to re-form her.

Good night google+friends.Very nice.
