I tried a search and couldn’t find much but does anyone in here use the tinyg and artcam. What post processor are you using. I’m currently using the haas NC post but I’m having some z accuracy issues. When jogging the machine I get accuracy so I know my settings are good. When I set up the g54 z0 and go up 1 inch and check it’s good. And back down its good.

I’m wondering if there is a safety line code missing or something cause my first cut only supposed to go .05 deep and it ends up taking like .2 and the z reads right inside of chilipeppr .

Any experience with something similar and your resolution would be greatly appreciated

I think @Steve_Anken might use Artcam?

Have not used the hass but generic .tap and .nc that I have tried work and use (mm) for my 3040 and (in) for the mach3 machine but I preview the gcode in Chilipeppr before going to Mach3. Would help to have a gcode snippet that reproduces your problem.

My first few lines are very generic I delete what the post spits out and put

G90g54
G0x0y0z1.0
X0y0
Than I go into the code
First line usually looks like

G1x0yoz-.05f100.

I’m a chilipeppr newb half the time the g54 don’t set zero when I click it. I’m wondering if I should try the js cnc

Just use universal gcode sender

Try one of the Linux NGC post processors in your Artcam

Ok I’ll try that when I get home. Also I think I figured out my z problem. My firmware somehow reset and only the motors in motion were energized. I’m willing to bet the z moved when it rapids to the first x and y on the part

cncjs is working good too. I ran an air job using it and am going to try some cuts. It’s sad that the projects are duplicating a lot of functionality and the community is split.

My only goal is to get good tools into the hands of students, artists and small shops who are the ones left out of the tech economy. I will support any efforts that move our culture in that direction.
