I want to build a good size but faster 3D printer.

I want to build a good size but faster 3D printer. I have been looking at the volcano extruder, and think that is the way to go, as I am looking to create very strong structural printed parts. I am not concerned with fine detail or really small items or toys. What is the best design out there with say 800 mm x 800 mm x 800 mm workspace, or similar size? I want to be able to use various filaments (ABS, PLA, Bamboo wood, etc.) so I will do a heated bed too. Opinion?

For those sizes look over at the quadstrap community. @shauki is doing great work on large printers.

I tried to look this up, and all of his accounts have been closed, youtube videos removed, and no new links found using google.

I did finally find something about this on github!

@Mark_Rehorst Sure that’s spiffy if ya got six thousand to blow on a pre-built machine.
But like @Bruce_Lunde I am a DIY kinda guy.
my first attempt was based on a Prusa I2 with a build volume of 36"x 36"x 36".
unfortunately I did not get to complete it due to my home burning down last year.
However there are New Items like E3d’s Kracken Hot End and the Volcano hot end technologies. IF I attempt another I will be using all of these improved parts in my new Design.

@Chris_Bigpaws_Chambe try https://plus.google.com/u/0/+ShaukiB/posts, he closed several of his accounts but not this one.

Thanks for the info @Eclsnowman I have bookmarked that page; @Mark_Rehorst wooo, that is nice but pricey! @Chris_Bigpaws_Chambe is correct, I want to build it, and will settle on a design, then start slowly collecting parts to make a build. Doing this research as I finish up my DIY CNC machine.
