I want to create some ColorPalettes that run across the led stripe.

I want to create some ColorPalettes that run across the led stripe.
These ColorPalettes should contain colors of country flags.

My problem is that many flags are split in thirds (germany, italy, spain, france, …).
But CRGBPalette16 cannot be evenly divided by 3.

I can live with that (or use CRGBPalette32 to increase the error), but maybe there is a better way. :slight_smile:

Could you only use the first 12 slots for the colors and the last four are always set black?

// country with two colors
CRGBPalette16(
red, red, red, red, red, red,
orange, orange, orange, orange, orange, orange,
black, black, black, black );

// country with three colors
CRGBPalette16(
purple, purple, purple, purple,
green, green, green, green,
teal, teal, teal, teal,
black, black, black, black );

// country with four colors
CRGBPalette16(
green, green, green,
white, white, white,
pink, pink, pink,
blue, blue, blue,
black, black, black, black );

I think thats possible.
Thanks

btw, this reminded me of this great TED talk on city flags. (Totally non-LED related!)
