I was able to get everything working properly to the best of my knowledge. Thanks to all those suggestions. In the end I loaded serial-json-server on a pi 3 and connected the DUE to that. I still use my MAC as the Chilipeppr machine connected through wifi to pi 3. I re flashed the code connected and everything seems to work as it should. I have to build a machine now so I can see some motors move. Many thanks to the community.
Awesome. Rpi 3 is a great way to go. It’s my standard now.
I was watching the processor load on the pi 3 when it was running your sample g code and it barely cracked 2%. I think when I make my control box I will just include a Pi3. I am guessing some other handy tools may pop up to run on that pi.
Well, the first handy tool is hooking in webcams to it and then streaming those to the browser. The other handy tool is the GPIO server Ben Delarre wrote so you can trigger on/off signals to additional items.
