I will test this inn a bit. If they make filament as good as they made DVDs and CD back in the days we have a winner. And 139 NOK less than the price of makerbot filament

Now we are going to print the CDs and DVDs by our self in real Verbatim quality. #verbatim#ABSFilament@Komplett.no
Verbatim PLA is horrible or PLA in general?. You need to explain more what your problems with it is before I can say that it is bad. If it does not jamm in nozzle because of diameter or it delaminate when cooling (only happens on ABS) I will character it as good. Please elaborate with more than it is rubbish. I have a no name ABS from China that is better than makerbot ABS. Makerbot ABS is delaminating earlier than most ABS that I have tried. The makerbot PLA is very good and sticks well to the bed at 70 degrees.
A friend bought it, and it is so fragile that breaks down when introducing on the extruder (not because of moisture). Also he has not been able to finish any printing. He did not say anything else, was chocking…
There is a 24 months warranty for that so he should return the drum an get a new. Probably a damaged wacuum bag and that is critical for PLA since it is biological degradable so moist is making it brittle
Kristian Myklebust…you really believe that Verbatim means quality ABS? You have been drinking too much marketing cool-aid. The best plastics for 3D printing are still made in mad scientist garages at this point. Big names are simply buying a standard ABS pellets, and expressing it themselves…stick with the community referrals for the best filament.
I have been running red and black ABS from Verbatim for a few months and couldn’t be happier with quality. Dimensionally it is spot, does not strip through the extruder even at fast speeds and prints very well. It also does snap when bent like other no brand ABS I have used. Packed well also. I did have to make a larger core adapter for it though…
@Robert_Fisher like i said. Please come up with your test and elaborate more in detail why it is so bad as you are claiming it to be. I have not tested it yet and that’s why I have not claimed it to be eather bad nor good. I said… If they make as good filament as they’re making dvd-r discs we might have a winner. If you have not tested it your self your are not qualified to make any statement about how it is performing.
never claimed it was bad. Just claimed that Verbatim is probably just brokering filament from a supplier we don’t know, or starting to express it themselves. Filament is a very cool thing in that it seems like some of the individuals making their own “mix” are better than the mainstream brands. Mad scientists making brilliant garage filament is just another layer of coolness about 3d printing.
Verbatim is a chemical company… They make plastics… 3d printer fillamen is plastic. I think verbatim could suprise you. But I think you already have made up your mind before testing it your self.
