I’d just like to say a massive thanks to @E3D-Online . This one chagng to the heater blocks with the thermistor cartridge has just made things so much easier. I’ve still got another to change out on the FB2020 (images from the FB2020+), the longest time taken was taking the spiral wrap off the wires. These things are a breeze.
::Edit::
Further info after a first print. Temperatures are more stable, I’ve really only seen it peak at about 0.4˚c and drop about 0.2˚c, previously it was around 0.5/0.6˚c either way. I will say that it did drop quite substantially when the layer fan kicked in, which it didn’t do before, but that’s just a matter of running a PID tune with the fan running. So, hats off to E3D an awesome change. I just need to get the FB2020 wired up with it now.
