If I wanted to add some led strips to my Ultimaker… How should I go about doing it?

No dude I understood the question, I am saying I’ve been trying to get you to get i e for 8 days and you had decided you needed ABS and all. What happened?!

I was finally convinced that we wouldn’t be using 3d printed parts for structural peices do I decided that the Ultimaker would be the best option ( plus it looks cooler ) thanks for convincing me. (We do not have one yet, I’m just fantasizing on what I would do when we got one)

It depends on how much control you want over the LEDs. If you just want them on, then it’s a matter of connecting the strips in series to your power source and they’ll come on when you turn on the machine. In that case, you’d need to also include resistors to match current for your needs.

If you want more control over them, you need to figure out a pin on the electronics to use and appropriately turn it on in the firmware. I imagine at least one person must’ve done this at some point.
