It’s the spitting image of the machine in the gingery book. Plans for $5 to build it for about $200. Amazing the funding people can get by ripping off designs that are years old.

Messaged kickstarter about these people ripping off Vince Gingerly. No one here seems to care, so I doubt they will (if they do the right thing, they would lose money). It’s a sad state of affairs. Shame on anyone who funded them.

I didn’t knew Vince Gingerly. Thanks to your message I googled around and I have seen he has written very interesting books. I think I will buy some books, especially the one of the molding.

  • Did he released the designs as Open Hardware to the community ?

As far as I know, no. But these are still his designs. I believe in open source, but that doesn’t justify theft.
